Sorrel-daydream
As I wanted since weeks or may'be months. Starting to work on wood and not to grow into my watercolour-paper. I gave it a try...with Gesso, and acrylics and even my watercolors and pencils...wooow! This evening was perfect. Kate Bush in the background, heavy wind outside, Dalí afraid of that wind and napping and a warm milk with honey to drink. In two weeks my parents-in-law will travel to Europe and are coming over to visit us, may'be that's the inspiration for the theme of this drawing. The leave-trees are inspired on the 'sorrel' (zurkel in flemish) growing in my garden. Incredible textures and colour they have!
A very nice weekend to all of you and stay dreaming...because really every dream comes true one day, just wait that one day!

For them who love to see behind the drawing/painting, these pics ;)

Journey
She loves him and would do anything for him! This was my daydream...:)For sure we are looking forward to find a perfect little spot in the north of France for our tent.
Reading, playing guitar, swimming, fresh breakfasts into the nature and cosey nights into our little stitched house! Sounds like summer and still april!

Monsters & co
Another workshop I gave. Working with different textures and materials, building an image with it and printing the whole thing on the big press of Mr. PlantinJune 27, 2010
Printed animals
Some results from a new workshop I gave recently for a birthday-party. The childrens invent a kind of monster/animal, good, bad, ugly or nice, whatever, work them out in cutted materials, from paper to plastic and so many more, materials with some special texture. We bring on ink on the whole plate and print them on the huge and very original printing press that served Mr. Plantin and from who you can find books spread over the whole world! So exciting to do this with kids.♥

Green fingers

Beside the fact I have drawing fingers they are also very green!:) Last spring I couldn't and didn't want to let grow a lot of plants and flowers because of our two months absence ( in Peru). Now, this year we cannot afford us again that too expensive ticket and I'm concentrating on making a little heaven on earth....hm, little bit exaggerated:) Love the textures, the thousands of green, the growing wonders and everything around it...Here you can see some doodlings and my playtime in photoshop on a rural saterday eve...
Have a nice weekend!

Happy Mama!
I was thinking on a kind of self-portrait to do, me,like a Peruvian mother with her cat-child.
That turned out like I wanted, but the paper I used to fill the dress made it all together with the black hair very Japanese. I don't mind that. All the different cultures mixed up in one little drawing...looks fine to me...and more important, my mum loved it!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mums in the world!!!
