Me and my noses

Easter means a well deserved day off!

We jumped into the car and I drove 2 hours...and we reached our destination.

Cap gris nez and Cap blanc Nez in Northern France.

I love those 'noses'.

From that point in France you can see the cliffs of Dover...and I saw them...it makes me dream away from further horizons on that continent...

The bad news, we went only for one day, the good news, this is only the start of my vacation!

Copenhagen Christmas 2012

We spent Christmas in Copenhagen this year. Last year we entered 2012 on the isle of Texel in the north of The Netherlands, next year it's possible we will fly to Boston ;)

Copenhagen is so fresh! Not only the temperature but the people, traffic, interiors, public places. 

A very different style of living, must be the scandinavian way. 

We can learn a lot from that style...don't know where to begin!

Every day from now on I present you a sunprint I made last summer in Perú.

There was already a little exhibition for them but never published my girls on the net for a bigger public.
 So here they are! A 'cholita' a day keeps the nostalgia away.

Space is were we belong

 

After more then 3 months I guess I returned to my drawing table and  that feels so good!

It was a very hard time, there wasn't yet a spring, the world was like turning in the other direction...I said farewell to my grandfather, he is now somewhere....not to far from us I think. While drawing this there was that song on the radio of Absynthe Minded, a belgian group, 'Space is were we belong'. That makes me thinking that even the dead isn't that worse. Life is good and so this drawing to finish a long period of pain, tears and awfull thoughts.
I'm gratefull for this life and I want to give you these words that I founded through Pinterest :
On the other side of fear lies freedom.

Back into 'play'-mode

 It was a very nice time ending 2011 and entering the brand new 2012. Like I told your before we entered the new year on a isle of Holland, named Texel. It hurted so much going back to the mainland...and after that driving three hours back to the south, to our home. Sitting on that boat was my farewell to a well deserved fourdays-trip where we found rest and could breath again after busy weeks of work. So, all those memories are living in our hearts and luckily in my sketchbook...and time has come to look forward to so many new adventures. I was preparing the base of so many new brooches I will paint this week.  There is coming closer a very nice event for me and 24 other designers of handmade creations.

Happy dream number 2012!

Especially made for all of you to wish you a very happy new year and so many good and nice new adventures for 2012. This picture is made on beach 'Paal 17'on the Isle of Texel (The Netherlands) at 11:20 pm on 31th of December with some help of the moon, my little headlight and of course the best photographer in the world :)
