She loves him and would do anything for him! This was my daydream...:)
For sure we are looking forward to find a perfect little spot in the north of France for our tent.
Reading, playing guitar, swimming, fresh breakfasts into the nature and cosey nights into our little stitched house! Sounds like summer and still april!

Beneath the Dangerous Beauty

After discovering a fairytale-mushroom in the forest on a sunday walk I got the idea to transform him in a mushroom-girl. Don't ask me why.
She looks very pretty but be careful with ladies like her :)

The mushroom is better known as the Fly Agaric (eng), Vliegenzwam (nl) or Matamoscas (esp), is toxic but still not too dangerous as other can be!

Blackberry hostage

Looks cruel, but it's just an outing of my fascination for all kind of berries that I adore!
It's my season right NOW! Go looking for the wild ones and EAT all of them!

Nubia

Nubia ( or Cloud in english, named to the cloudpeople in Egypt) is one of the lovely cats of our good friend Laura in Madrid. I will draw all her cats in some way with an interest of her and her future husband. Laura loves to dance flamenco, so Nubia seemed the best cat to pull on that riple dress... Those drawings will be transform into coasters. That will be a little gift to all the invited friends and family on her wedding day in the beginning of July! Exciting! You will see them all!

A new breeze

By visiting the blog of Karo I found a terrific link to the site of Jonathan Woodward : zero2illo. Every aspiring illustrator or graphic designer can participate in this project to make work of that 'dream' we all have! The challenge started like 8 weeks ago but you can sign-up whenever you want and just start NOW, like I will do! I'm still discovering this place and started on my first week with some very useful tasks. Behind the whole challenge is building up a community of illustrator-souls...and by sharing our experiences we can help eachother closer to being a fulltime illustrator and to make finally work of some very important steps to accomplish before living that dream also Jonathan had since decades. Take a look and sign up...the tasks are just soooo usefull and secure.

Muddy / Lodoso

Remember my young days, building houses and castles of bricks and sticking them together with mud...I thought they would resist for ages. And leaving my boots inside to play barefoot in the muddy pool...:)

She looks very sad but inside she is enjoying the horrible weather... . I really enjoyed drawing this one while the winds outside are yelling and knocking the walls of our house...so warm inside with a good music in the background!

Ella parece muy triste pero por dentro está disfrutando este clima horrible. He disfrutado hacer este dibujo mientras que el viento afuera me atormenta golpeando contra los muros de la casa... Dentro de la casa es muy caliente con una musica de fondo!

Music

Just came home with my first cd of Norah Jones. Her new album 'Fall'...with the marvellous song on it : Chasing Pirates...the beats making my mind racing also! Lovely!!!

He llegado a la casa recien con el nuevo cd de Norah Jones. Se llama 'Fall' / Otoño y me encanta la cancion ' Chasing Pirates' ...que me vuelvo loca de escucharla ...Magnifico!!!

Skinny bird

Without thinking of a skinny dreaming girl I drawed this one...she is looking the way I'm feeling...absent, although I enjoyed drawing her birdy dress ;)

Frozen / Congelado

The moon and the tree, closer together the night doesn't feel that frozen!

Flying / Volar

Days are getting darker, leaves are flying and also these seeds of the Sycamore Maple-tree...they inspired me to draw this little girl that will iluminate our dark evenings.

It's all going about an old woman called Blackbirdie and she lives her whole life in the shadow without any sparkle of sunlight. One day a couple of jackdaws will change her life forever...
