Bright Knights

Just found this call for an Australian band that is recording a kind of stop-motion video. On the website of Bright Knights you can download a frame and colour it in as you like (not digital) just keeping in mind to make the background blue. Very original form of editing a video, with coloured frames from all over the world, so different and subcultural. Hope mine will be pasted in the video too :) . Feel free to download, colour the frame, scan it and send it back to the guys!

Origami - life

A very small stop-motion to check out the possbilities of Windows live Moviemaker. It's just basic, very easy to use and nothing more special, ...and for me the software is on the second place, playing and creating is just so much fun! When I was 9 I was folding billions of papers everyday...that was my Origami-age! :)

Come live the life!

After hearing a new song of a Belgian band named K's Choice I really wanted to know who made the clip for their song 'Come live the life'. After some research I found the video on Vimeo and it seems made by French artists. The band just bought the video for the song...not what I was thinking, anyway, still like the song and the video has a great message!

My Alice...

Went to see the new one of Tim Burton from who I am an absolutely big fan! Nightmare before Christmas has to be the best ever, but also Big Fish is one of my favourites! Now, Alice. It was a marvellous spectacle of colour, costumes, effects and magic although I still had expected a lot more Burton - 'touch'.... Disney was the boss I guess...

Time to take a breath

If someone was wondering why I didn't put anymore drawings these last two days. First : I really couldn't find the time to relax and draw and second : My energy has took a flight with me and since yesterday I'm feeling very sick. It can be some kind of flue but I think rather that I was eating something wrong. So let's give time to my body to fight against the monsters inside...I'm preparing gallons of tea with lemon and I believe that tomorrow will be much better if I take some rest...meanwhile my lovely man made this experiment with camera movements and typographical elements in it...he is my energy!

'Lap'-Walk / La caminata del 'Lap'

This is only a small experiment...a result of our 'lazy' sunday :)...Thanks to my Javi on who I always can count for the editing of the little videos. Don't search a huge story behind this movements of this little puppet, we are learning to animate some cut-outs...and the most important thing is that we have fun with it, lots of fun!
In dutch we call the northern tribes of europe, the Sami : Lappen...therefore my title...the walk of the sami, just sounds short and good in dutch, enjoy the 'Lap'-walk.

Sólo un pequeño experimento. El resultado de nuestro domingo...Gracias a mi Javi que me ayuda siempre a hacer estos videos. No esperes encontrar un cuento en esta animacion, estamos aprendiendo nomas a animar unos simples papelitos...lo mas importante es que disfrutamos mucho de crear todo esto, demasiado mucho!
Un 'Lap' en Neerlandes es una persona del norte de Europa...los ultimos aborigines ahí. Se llaman 'Sami' originalmente, pero 'Lap' suena bueno para mi, disfrutalo!

Experimental sunday

My Piano

Today I was reading a magazine about movies and television...and since many years I didn't watched anymore 'The Piano' written by Jane Campion. In that magazine they were telling about her new movie that will be out soon...and I had to think back how much I loved this movie, yes I'm just such a dreamer and romantic soul, uuuups. The story is one thing, the music another thing but the dresses are 'everything'! How I would love it to wear one like that...and so I drawed this one :) ...'my Piano'!

2012 ?

One week ago we wanted to taste some Hollywood-garbage :), so we went to '2012'. I had a pleasant night watching this 'comedy'. Although there were some surrealistic moments in it that I still cannot forget...like this poor animal that 'humans' go transporting to the 'ark' to rescue most species of our dear planet...Imagine...

For me this is by far the most spectacular image of this too long movie!

Thanks to my lovely husband...to create this short movie. He has is own talents and I am so happy we can combinate them. I am so gratefull to him, for everything he is to me. The lost of my friend is a huge lesson for life!

A brand new Flemish movie that won today 5 prizes in New York. I saw him last saturday and this image is inspired on a moment in the movie...go and see The misfortunates or in the original flemish title ' De helaasheid der dingen'...based on the book by Dimitri Verhulst.
