Floating on blue

 I woke up at 6am with this image in my head.

Sleep was far away, I had to take my drawingpaper, pencils and watercolors.

Here is that image.She floats in a jungle and meanwhile in her body life is growing. Never could imagine what it is to be pregnant. Must be one of the journeys most spectacular in a life!
Although I feel so lucky, there are moments I get scared, not knowing what will happen with this body, how it will react on that crucial moment of birth. I have to trust in this gift, my body and relax above all!

I can enjoy of this wonder all summer long and I hope the little creatures in my womb want to live some months more in the most cosy home of the world!

This drawing is born into the forest where I go often to wander around, to dream, to be away a while from reality may'be. Just heard on the radio that the badger population here is growing...
It seemed a perfect friend to me to complete this drawing.
I guess they are having a lovely afternoon together, like I did yesterday, drawing them.

Home is...

Since some weeks she is trying to hold all those memories, to keep them very close, to feel them every moment of the day. She is craving to everything that is far away at this moment. She wanted that she brought with her a little piece of Andes to keep and to care. It would be her treasure with all the memories in it. Not just cold granite.

'Home is where the mountain is' she whispered and she felt home.

Sciurus ever after

Found her on the way back home this morning...couldn't resist to leave her on that cold road.

She's resting in the garden...ever after...but not happily.

Calendar girl

Hij is er bijna, mijn eerste échte kalender. Met veel tromgeroffel zal ik hem uitgebreid voorstellen volgende week aangezien ik nu nog op een veel lager tempo geniet van dit weekje vakantie en even tijd neem voor andere dingen en kleine uitjes. Al een hele grote dank voor alle super-enthousiaste reacties op dit kleine project. Ik maakte dit heel speciaal voor jullie ;)

My first self-designed calendar will be ready in the next week as I'm enjoying still of one week vacation...so slow tempo and time to travel and to see new worlds.

My contribution for the contest of the sister site of They Draw and Cook ------>They Draw and travel. Since ages I wanted to draw the homeland of my husband with all those treasures...and still I didn't putted them all on it...but it's the beginning may'be of more maps ;)

Afternoon

Inspired on my little chinese porcelain cup I love to use for a coffee to get out the afternoon-blues. Me (drawing), my coffee (and one, two, three, to much biscuits!) and resting Dalí (somewhere in the house)...a perfect thursday-afternoon.

What I wore today

mmmm! After the Etsy Lab I got a new boost forward I guess. If feels very good and I really enjoyed making this 'What I wore today' to upload on the Flickr Group of Gemma Correll.
Everyone can join, just draw yourself with your clothes of that day or another day...and meanwhile Gemma is selecting drawings to make a book with it! So DRAW and upload it HERE !

x Kathy That's the way I draw....these months, enjoying the long evenings, the paper and my Dalí close to me. He waits until I'm finished to drink the water I used painting my drawing. I ♥ HIM! oh! And no picture like this without my photographer... he was my first ♥ !

Mom-feelings

My brother found this little mini-newborn-cat in the field. He called me to ask what to do. We tried to call the mother by putting the little creature back in the field and waiting for her but nobody came to pick him! Now the family of my sister-in-law are taking care of him and we all think he will make it and will be a big strong boy someday. I wanted to bring him home but don't know what could be the reaction of King Dali. :) Anyway...my mom-feelings were touched again!

My first real exhibition of my latest work is finished. I enjoyed all the comments and thoughts of my visitors through different channels. It tastes very good and surely I want to go on with it!

Forgive and forget

We were playing in the garden. Suddenly something changed into his little cat-mind. He scratched me several times,in my leg, in my arm, without any reason. He was like imagining that I was one of those cats who walk into his garden everyday and are trying to reach the kitchen to steal his food.
Crazy naughty boy!

彼女が家にいた

She was home.
Suddenly the whole house shaked.
and she knew that this wasn't like before.
She looked outside and the sea was bigger than normally
...a huge monster was coming closer.
And then she started dreaming that they were running, she and her little cat,
higher and higher into the mountains.
Forever she will stay into that dream.
The sea is calm again...the house isn't anymore.

Bright Knights

Just found this call for an Australian band that is recording a kind of stop-motion video. On the website of Bright Knights you can download a frame and colour it in as you like (not digital) just keeping in mind to make the background blue. Very original form of editing a video, with coloured frames from all over the world, so different and subcultural. Hope mine will be pasted in the video too :) . Feel free to download, colour the frame, scan it and send it back to the guys!
